Gold follows ICT principles but with unique characteristics driven by safe-haven flows

// Lesson Content
Gold moves based on factors very different from forex pairs. 1. SAFE-HAVEN FLOWS When stocks crash or geopolitical tensions rise, institutions move money into gold. This creates aggressive bullish displacement with little retracement. 2. USD INVERSE CORRELATION Gold and USD are 80%+ negatively correlated. When DXY rises, gold usually falls. ICT traders must check DXY bias before trading gold. 3. INFLATION EXPECTATIONS When inflation data surprises to the upside, gold rallies as investors hedge purchasing power. 4. CENTRAL BANK BUYING Central banks (China, Russia, Turkey) are the largest gold buyers. Their purchases create long-term bullish structure. 5. REAL YIELDS When real yields fall, gold rises. When real yields rise, gold falls. ICT Relevance: Gold institutional flows are MORE predictable than forex because they are driven by macro events. PD arrays on gold are respected more consistently than on EURUSD.
📌 Gold is driven by safe-haven flows, USD inverse correlation, inflation, and central bank buying. More predictable than forex.
